I have always been passionate about photography, even from a young age. Whether it is in front of the camera or being behind it capturing the moment, I have always found it rewarding to get the best image possible. Getting that perfect image requires not just knowing what someone should wear, but also how someone should hold themselves - a simple shift of body weight or tilt of the face could signal different emotions. Whether it's an outdoor shoot or indoors, by controlling the lighting to highlight your best features, I can give the right mood to your photograph.
I believe it is very important to get to know my client ahead of time so that they can be comfortable with me and also comfortable with the camera. For actors, one of the things I always ask is what type of character(s) do they see themselves play and then work with them to bring out that great personality. Being a performer myself, I understand the importance of investing in a great headshot. I know how frustrating it can be to show up at an audition and not have something that looks like the real you, especially those headshots which are overly processed so that the details are lost. This may work for fashion and beauty portraits where you have to be flawless but for actors you want to look who you are on your best day. When your headshot is sitting on the casting director’s desk, I can help to make it stand out from the rest.
